Another geocaching challenge completed

After the 102 mph gales here in Scotland plus the rain!! I finally managed to complete this Geocache challenge of a sunset close to home.  We went down in the car to the beach, boy were there a lot a debris on the road and beach, which is normally so very clean and tidy, but it was mostly seaweed which was up on the road and sticks.  Quite a few folk out walking on the sand and prom making the most of a cold dry although breezy day something we haven't seen much of these past couple of weeks, the wind was still quite strong on the prom as the waves were rolling in big, although the tide was out.  I had to position myself against a lifebelt box to steady my hand and camera.  This is one I took of the sun setting over the water, still a bit of cloud about as you can see, but they thankfully moved fast to allow me to take a sunset photo.

  1. Lovely. I've never seen the sun set in the ocean as we live on the east coast and we see only sunrises over the sea ( and I'm never awake for that !!).
    Cheers

  2. Hi Ann,
102 mph winds sounds terrible. We have had a few fences blown down but no winds as high as that.
    Re your comment/emails.
At the bottom right hand corner of this box that I am typing in is -
    "Subscribe by email"
You need to go back to my comment box and click on this. It toggles on/off I believe. Hope this sorts it.
Kath is the expert on this as I know she uses it all the time!

  3. So lovely to meet you Ann. Thank you for commenting and leading me here! I have always wanted to visit Scotland, it is a dream of mine! I am in love with the green and the castles and some day I hope to see it all for myself. I scrolled down and saw your post on the highland cattle, my husband loves that breed. If we were younger and willing to take on the work he has talked of raising them. I need to see more of your lovely blog:>)

  4. Nature has an extraordinary way of balancing itself. I think that sometimes we need to be reminded how strong Mother nature can be. At times she is a force to recon with and then she turns right around and shows all her beauty and spender. Reminds me very much of my wife ;)
I love your blog and thanks for adding ours to your list. You'll soon be a guest blogger there for sure Ann, thanks!
